Workers Compensation Attorney

Note: – must have CA bar, must have some workers’ comp experience, 2-10 year associates preferred. Defense side preferred. Our client, a Workers’ Compensation defense law firm, is currently in search of Senior and Associate Attorneys with a minimum of 4 years of experience in workers’ comp — either plaintiff or defense side for a remote position. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Residency in California and possession of a CA Bar license are required.

Attorneys manage the legal defense of workers’ compensation cases from inception to final resolution, including all aspects of discovery and litigation. The attorneys work closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators.

Primary responsibilities:

Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, 3rd party administrators, and self-insured employersPrepare and manage correspondence to clientsDraft pleadings and negotiate settlements on workers’ compensation filesAttend court appearances, manage calendar, and conduct depositions and cross-examinations of doctorsNegotiate lien claims and perform proactive case managementMentor and oversee legal assistant, ensuring effective case supportEstablish and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendorsParticipate in marketing events with both new and existing clientsReview and work on files, inputting case information into PracticeMaster and billing softwareMeet deadlines for client correspondence and attend client file reviewsConduct training seminars for clients on evolving workers’ compensation case lawStay updated on current knowledge of workers’ compensation case lawWe offer a competitive salary, a casual environment, and a generous benefits package including:

Compensation: $120,000.00 – $210,000.00 per year
