Analyst, General Accounting (Remote, entry level)

The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to be part of the General Accounting team within the Raytheon Technologies Enterprise Services organization. This person will be primarily supporting fixed assets. This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Represent the fixed asset organization working with individuals at all levels across the organization.
  • Play a critical role in the financial closing and reporting by processing transaction requests timely.
  • Develop knowledge of company-wide policy as it relates to fixed assets and consistently apply policy through daily tasks.
  • Perform fixed asset disposals & capitalization requests.
  • Set up and support charge number capital requests.
  • Contribute to ES by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department.
  • Support physical inventory initiatives.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Tracking and management of the aged AUC (Asset under construction) costs, making sure assets are capitalized timely.
  • Complete AUC (Asset under construction) reserve analysis for Pratt, Collins and Corporate.
  • Support special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures.
  • Experience with SAP and HFM is a plus.


Typically requires a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.


Remote, however, candidates located in Farmington, CT or Cedar Rapids, IA are preferred.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
