Bilingual HR Operations Associate – I-9 Specialist – Fully Remote

As a Bilingual HR Operations Associate, you’ll be integral to our transition of I-9 management from field operations to our centralized I-9 center of excellence. Reporting directly to the Manager of HR Operations, you’ll be the main liaison for associates, guiding them through the completion of their I-9 forms with precision, efficiency, and a seamless experience. This remote role offers the opportunity to drive accuracy and compliance while supporting our workforce.

Hourly Rate Range: $21.00 – $23.00

Schedule: Mon – Fri 12:00pm – 8:00pm EST. Late shift availability preferred, but some scheduling flexibility can be offered.

Work environment: 100% Remote


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all I-9 verification-related inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and offering assistance throughout the verification process
  • Ensure timely completion of all I-9 sections, adhering to mandated timelines
  • Run reports and process automated transactions in Workday for mass processing purposes
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to enhance the I-9 process within Workday, serving as the main tester for any improvements or updates
  • Stay abreast of current and upcoming Workday I-9 capabilities by actively engaging in the Workday Community and adopting best practices shared by fellow Workday clients
  • Take the lead in I-9 compliance endeavors, proactively sharing knowledge across the team to ensure everyone remains informed of the latest developments
  • Oversee any future I-9 vendors, ensuring effective coordination and adherence to established processes
  • Create process documents and communications to streamline and clarify I-9 verification procedures for all stakeholders
  • Conduct regular I-9 purges in Workday to uphold compliance with retention regulations
  • Assist with audits and investigations pertaining to I-9 compliance as necessary
  • Participate in training and development initiatives focused on I-9 compliance and other HR processes
  • Maintain a feedback log and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the I-9 verification processes
  • Contribute to quality assurance efforts, striving for error-free I-9 completion
  • Focus on key performance indicators and metrics related to the effectiveness and efficiency of the I-9 verification process


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources, specializing in I-9 verification and compliance.
  • Proficiency with Workday HCM is preferred.
  • Thorough comprehension of I-9 and E-Verify compliance regulations and procedures.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Exceptional organizational aptitude coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented, thriving in fast-paced environments while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and regulatory changes, exhibiting flexibility in meeting evolving compliance demands.
