Datex, a supply chain execution platform SaaS provider, is actively searching for a Business Development Representative to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing consistent rapport and product interest with potential customers. Role and Responsibilities
Evaluate, research, and prioritize leads and prospects from multiple sources, including marketing campaigns, as sales opportunities
Identify the needs and challenges of the leads and prospects
Proactively research and analyze available situational information (ZoomInfo, company website, social media, industry articles, etc.) to help personalize communications.
Contact leads and prospects through cold calls, emails and other effective types of outreach
Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and Client Executives (Sales)
Report results/progress against goals to the Sales Operations Manager weekly
Properly enter and manage lead, prospect, and opportunity records within Dynamics365 CRM
Nurture leads and prospects that meet specific criteria or thresholds
Deliver presentations which are concise, compelling, and valuable in the eyes of the lead or prospect
Develop, foster and sustain strong relationships as trusted advisor with potential clients
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Stay up to date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Help form and be a member of a successful sales team which drives Datex’s revenue, client growth and client satisfaction
Position Datex’s product and services portfolio which maximizes revenue, client growth and client satisfaction by leveraging a team selling model, a proactive, preemptive and consultative client engagement model, and an established sales process
Follow established handoff procedures as applicable for Sales to ensure Prospects efficiently, transparently, and fluidly transition from BD to Sales
Travel up to 30% of the time
Experience reaching or exceeding goals/quotas
Direct supply chain industry experience a plus, at minimum an understanding of the supply chain industry
Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
Desire to learn, grown and excel in the role
Excellent phone, writing and listening skills
Familiarity with Dynamics365 or other CRM
High comfort level with technology/tools
3-5 years of professional experience working in Business Development
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
