We are seeking experienced Cash Application Specialists to perform daily cash posting to ensure prompt and accurate recording of payments from online travel agencies and direct reservation payments. Daily processing will include payments made by payment processing vendors, OTAs, ACH, Wire, credit card, and check. Work involves initiating system transactions, and correcting and reprocessing errors based on predefined sets of rules. Additionally, candidates must be comfortable performing research on how to correct errors using internal and external data sources, as well as communicating with other internal contacts.
The Opportunity:
- Apply daily multi-currency payments
- Perform AR research requests related to unapplied payments, payment discrepancies, variances, etc.
- Review aging and initiate collection activities
- Communicate with departments (sales, IT, engineering, development, Distribution, etc.) about billing discrepancies and questions
- Research errors and variances with payment processors.
- Assist with internal and external auditor requests to pull data to support controls and/or confirm AR activity
Who We Look For:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 2+ years accounting experience preferably with a focus in Accounts Receivable
- General knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in the Hospitality industry is preferred but not required
- Netsuite ERP, Stripe & Airbnb knowledge preferred but not required
- Must be detail oriented – attention to detail is critical
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Team player with positive and agile attitude required
- Must be able to work independently and organize work efficiently.
