Our students, teachers, and parents come from all walks of life, and so do we. Our team includes people from academia, traditional/non-traditional education, big tech companies, and tiny startups. We hire great people from diverse backgrounds and experiences because it makes our company stronger. We value diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as necessary to achieve our mission and impact the communities we serve. We know that transforming education starts in-house with learning about ourselves and our colleagues. We strive to be world-class in investing in our people and commit to developing you as a professional.
THE ROLE
- Our US Content team includes the curriculum developers who design and develop the courses, lessons, videos, articles, and practice questions on Khan Academy. As a Content team Intern, you’ll have the chance to work side-by-side with our team’s Content Creators to develop, launch, and upgrade content on courses in your area of expertise.
- Under the guidance of a seasoned mentor, you’ll own and drive a project that gives you end-to-end experience with all aspects of Khan Academy’s content creation cycle. You’ll also have a chance to share your project through a culminating presentation at the close of the internship experience.
- You’ll be part of an Intern Learning Community that will provide you with opportunities to learn from colleagues across the organization, while learning how different teams within an educational technology organization collaborate to design and deliver world-class digital learning experiences to learners and educators.
- You’ll explore ways to integrate our AI-powered tutor, Khanmigo, into our content to provide more tailored and interactive learning experiences to students.
- You’ll leave your internship with a deeper understanding of what content creation looks like in an educational technology company, and will be empowered to make informed decisions about the next steps of your career, whether they include remaining in a school or district-based role or transitioning to a career in edtech.
