You must have a CTElicense.Terms of Employment: Up to 10 Months POSITION SUMMARY: The teacher will implement an appropriate educational curriculum based on State CulinaryArts Standards and the course pacing guides provided by the district. The teacher will createand maintain an educational atmosphere that encourages effective student learning. Thisperson will report directly to the Vice Principals at Proximity Learning. Approved candidateswill be placed into an active teacher pool. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of Essential Duties and Responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.1. Administer appropriate curriculum, which is aligned with the State Standards forCulinary Arts.2. Differentiate instruction and supplement content to meet the needs of all students.3. Create and maintain a positive, engaging virtual learning environment for allstudents.4. Develop and implement the components of an effective Culinary Arts lesson forinstruction.5. Analyze student progress, maintain grading and lesson planning, and providestudents with timely feedback.6. Participate in other job-related duties and activities related to the position asassigned, including but not limited to professional development, PLC’s, anddepartment meetings.7. Maintain a professional on screen appearance by following PLI professional dresscode.8. Adhere to the Proximity Learning virtual classroom expectations – arrive to class 5minutes prior to the class start time, have camera/microphone on throughout thelive class. POSITION EXPECTATIONS: 1. Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to provide instruction in a virtualclassroom.2. Work cooperatively with students, colleagues, in-class facilitator, and companymanagement.3. Guide the learning process toward achievement of curriculum goals.4. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units, assignments, andprojects.5. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies aligned with instructionalobjectives.6. Participate as an active member with other faculty.7. Maintain accurate and complete records as required by company policy.
8. Maintain and improve professional competence.9. Communicate effectively with your students, colleagues, and managers, includingreplying to all communications within 24 hours.10. Monthly observations, with provided feedback, to be implemented into classroomsfor continuous professional growth.11. Adhere to policies and expectations outlined in the PLI Teacher Handbook. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university2. Licenses and Certifications (Must be CTE/Vocational Teaching license issued in thestate of Texas)a. Must possess a teaching license issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)b. Certified in relevant subject area(s)c.
