Code Labs Academy is looking for a Cyber Security Bootcamp Teaching Assistant to ensure the students’ learning experience at CLA exceeds their expectations.

Job Type: Part Time (10-15 hours weekly)

Job Description

As our Cyber Security Bootcamp Teaching Assistant, you will:

    • Assist Cyber Security Bootcamp Leads and teachers with lesson preparation, including preparing bootcamp session materials

    • Assist in the continuous improvement of our bootcamp teaching material

    • Review lessons or lectures with students, one-on-one or in small groups

    • Provide extra assistance to students who struggle with mastering a particular concept

    • Supervise students between classes

    • Manage student attendance

    • Review and grade student assignments

    • Collaborate with Cyber Security Bootcamp Lead and Teachers to identify student issues and arrive at effective solutions that treat the root of the problem

    • Conceptualize and design free workshops

    • Organize and host free workshops

  • Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Computer Science background

    • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity

    • Experience in EdTech/Education/Teaching

    • Technical knowledge and skills

      • Knowledge of web development, and testing web applications

      • Debugging skills with reverse engineering

      • Fundamental computer forensics skills

      • Binary exploitation skills

      • Ability to find vulnerabilities in web applications

      • Reverse Engineering, Forensics and Binary Exploitation

      • Proficiency in Linux OS

    • Experience in programming scripting languages and other programming languages:

      • Python

      • Bash

      • C

      • JavaScript

      • x86 Assembly

      • Java

    • Communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts

    • Student-oriented attitude 

      • Ready to help students, listen to their questions, and orient them in the right direction

    • Positive attitude

    • Internal drive to produce quality results

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

    • German: B2
