Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Optimization Manager – LeadGen is responsible for executing paid media campaigns, managing technical SEO systems, and supporting local SEO initiatives to support Planet Home Lending, its branches, and its Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). This role focuses on implementing strategies, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing digital advertising efforts based on data-driven insights. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, this role ensures the seamless execution of paid digital initiatives and provides comprehensive reporting to inform strategy refinements and drive measurable results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and optimize paid digital ad campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn including crafting ad copy, visuals, and targeting strategies to optimize performance and ROI.
- Maintain technical SEO strategy, to ensure tools such as SEMRush are optimized for keyword tracking, performance monitoring and reporting.
- Advise MLOs on paid marketing strategies and support their individual initiatives including recommendations for ad platforms and campaign implementation and optimization.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager and other marketing team members to align paid digital initiatives with broader marketing objectives and campaigns including product launches, seasonal campaigns and branch openings.
- Manage and optimize Google Business Listings and other online profiles for branch locations to improve local SEO ensuring information is accurate and compliant.
- Track metrics for paid ad campaigns including effectiveness, traffic, and conversion rates in tools like Google Analytics and SEMRush. Provide regular reports and actionable insights.
- Conduct A/B Testing of ad creative, audience targeting, and calls-to-action.
- Support campaign budget management, including monitoring spend, ensuring adherence to budgets and maximizing ROI across platforms.
- Develop job aids and provide training resources for MLO’s, including platform-specific guides and budgeting strategies to ensure scalable, repeatable success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness and success of the marketing department.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, computer science, or related field or 3 years relevant business experience required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of related digital marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1 year marketing experience in the mortgage or financial industry
- Minimum 1 year creating and managing paid ad campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn)
- Familiarity with CMS platforms for website updates and maintenance.
- Experience in analytics tools (Google Analytics)
Functional/Technical Skills
- Self-starter with an upbeat, positive personality.

- Proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong copywriting and design skills.
- High level of attention to detail including proofreading and editing expertise.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Ads (Search, Display, Retargeting) and social media platforms (Meta, Linkedin), including ad copy and creative development.
- Great at multi-tasking and time management.
- Ability to create and execute high-performing ads, including compelling copy, visuals, and audience targeting.
- Technical proficiency in Google Analytics for reporting and tracking, with strong analytical skills to interpret campaign performance, local SEO, and website traffic data.
- Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver.)
- Experience managing and optimizing Google Business Listings to enhance visibility for branch locations.
- Collaborative mindset with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience advising individuals or teams on paid media strategies and campaign execution.
- Experience with the following applications is a plus: Total Expert CRM, Monday.com.
- Ability to teach and train individuals of all skill levels effectively.
