Enterprise Database System Software Developer


Position Summary:

The Enterprise Database System Software Developer will have demonstrated success in software development (preferably C#) with experience designing, implementing, and deploying high-performance scalable distributed database software systems in a Microsoft Windows environment. This includes back-end, client-to-server communication, and direct client-to-client communication. This position will report to the Director of Software Development and can be remote or located at company headquarters in Kennewick, WA.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  • C# Software Development with a back-end database
  • Enterprise software maintenance and optimization
  • Enterprise software connectivity and performance enhancements
  • Enterprise software scalability enhancements
  • Next-Gen Enterprise database system & software design and implementation
  • Interface with Cadwell’s clinical product software teams
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
  • 5+ years of related software development experience required
  • Windows desktop software development (C# & WCF)
  • Object oriented design/development
  • Service oriented architecture and development
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with development, design and optimization of databases (MSSQL, SQLite)
  • Experience with networking and server configuration
  • Experience with Mobile, Web, and Cloud back-end infrastructure design, implementation, and deployment is desirable

  • Strong business math skills; read and interpret data and reports
  • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
  • Competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems and applications
  • Critical success criteria include attention to detail, organized approach to work, effective time management and follow-through
  • Must develop knowledge of Cadwell products and components

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

  • General office positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision and 2-way written/verbal communication.
