The Events and Communications Manager is responsible for planning, organising, and executing events and communications (internal and external) that:
• Positively promote Capita Pension Solutions (CPSL) strategy, brand, vision, values and key messages to colleagues, clients, and other key stakeholders (e.g. Industry Bodies, Media, Third Pary Evaluators).
• Positively raises the profile of CPSL.
Please note as part of the role you will be expected to attend external events so travel is required for the role

Job Description:
What you’ll be doing:
- Creation of annual events and communication plan.
- Managing all aspects of event planning and delivery including budget, venue, logistics, marketing, registration, evaluation, and reporting.
- Preparing engaging internal communications.
- Ensuring that all activities are aligned with CPSL’s objectives, brand identity and messaging.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as event organisers, speakers, attendees, and suppliers.
- Owning, managing, and delivering specific projects and events.
- Ensuring all activities comply with Group policies, values, GDPR and FCA regulations.
- Manage and create an internal communications programme (including newsletters, emails and in-person events).
- Organising events (in-house and third party).
- Distribute and assist in the preparation of effective and engaging communication materials, such as newsletters, press releases, social media posts, brochures, videos, and presentations.
- Keeping up to date with the latest developments and provide ideas for innovative engagement strategies and events to raise the profile of CPSL.
- Working with the colleagues to ensure CPSL’s digital content is maintained in line with best practice.
- Monitor and measure the impact and outcomes of events and communications activities, using appropriate tools and metrics.
- Providing communications advice and support to colleagues.
- Support in writing material for events and other external/internal activity.
- Maintaining distribution lists.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Skills;
- Experience in a similar role, organising events and delivering internal and external communications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels, including the Executive/Senior Leadership Team.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics, with the ability to represent the organisation positively and effectively.
- Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Experience of working within a team environment.
- Budget management
Desirable Skills;
- Experience of working in the pensions/financial services industry.
- Experience of working in a similar sized organisation.
- Experience of working with CRM Systems.
- A professional event management/communications qualification.
