What You’ll do:

• Develop and maintain all aspects of a highly-trafficked production web application, including the front end, backend, and infrastructure 

• Leverage the following technologies: Git, Angular, NodeJS, AWS (CloudFront, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) 

• Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code using AWS SAM and CloudFormation  

• Maintain the production system through defect triage and remediation, system monitoring, and regular deployments 

• Perform database migrations, development, and maintenance in Oracle, MariaDB, and DynamoDB 

• Integrate with external systems to consume and display data 

• Ensure continued functionality of the production application through operations and maintenance 

• Address customer concerns with the application through the development of new features and resolving application defects  

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as Backlog Grooming and Sprint Demos 

• Effectively communicate your ideas and code to team members and other stakeholders 

• Generate clear and maintainable documentation for each updated area of the application as a reference for future development efforts  

• Contribute to the culture and continuous improvement of an Agile team 

Required Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree, years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree 

• 5+ years of software development and/or engineering experience 

• Implemented distributed, event-driven, highly available applications in AWS cloud  

• JavaScript (Angular and NodeJS) 

• Ability to obtain a security clearance with the federal government 

Preferred Experience: 

• AWS Certified 

• Serverless Framework experience 

• Familiarity with the Appian software product 

• Performance testing highly-trafficked public-facing applications

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
