JLL’s global Corporate Procurement function spends over $1.2B annually across categories such as HR, Professional Services, Operations, Technology, Travel and Marketing. The Corporate Procurement team has been growing over the past 2 years across all the regions – Americas, EMEA & APAC. JLL has been making a sustainable investment in forming a more strategic Corporate procurement team. We are looking for a category manager to join a team who can develop strategic category management plans, create compelling commercial propositions, and bring innovation to our supply chain
What this job involves:
You will be a crucial part of the Global Travel, Entertainment and Fleet category team. The category includes Air, Hotel, Car Hire, Transport, Entertainment and Fleet. You will work as part of a team in developing and aligning the category strategies with key stakeholders. You will be the Global lead for key subcategories of this category, dependent on experience and business need.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate and implement global strategies in key sub categories. Leveraging scale and data to deliver new value to the firm
- Responsible for regional strategies and ensure adherence to global toolkit, governance and policies
- Will have global category responsibilities for certain sub-categories which includes developing the category strategy with the business, stakeholder management and successful implementation of new suppliers
- Savings and benefits reconciliation are a key part of the responsibilities for the category director. This includes ensuring that the proper process of capturing and approval of the benefits are done
- Lead development and execution of all sourcing-related functions: performing due diligence and assessment of prospective suppliers, executing RFPs/bids, negotiating contracts and ensuring effective transition to operations during implementation
- Work with data to communicate relevant and timely information related to Travel, Entertainment & Fleet across business lines.
- Lead SRM activities with key suppliers in the relevant sub categories
- Support the supplier diversity and JLL’s sustainability programs; making sure that we work with ethical suppliers and standards as part of the sourcing process
- Carry out supplier risk management and mitigation plans
- Identify opportunities to develop and implement new policies and procedures

- Ability to work on a regional and global scale in a matrix organization as defined by the category strategies. This includes the ability to meet and align category plans with stakeholders in the Americas as well as globally
- Ability to demonstrate track records in category management which includes impactful deliverables
- Excellent project management, analytical and presentation skills is a MUST
- Ability to influence key stakeholders across different level of seniority
- Collaborative and influencing style with a focus on teamwork
- Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments yet with entrepreneurial spirit
- Expertise in sourcing and a skilled negotiator, with demonstrated ability to manage change
- Good business acumen with experience in sourcing to leverage and promote ethical sourcing practices
- Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications with excellent ability to work with large amounts of data and build reports
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college university
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management
Location
- US or CAN locations in EST/CST zones.
Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:
150,000.00 – 216,000.00 USD per year
