We are seeking to hire an experienced Agency professional to build and lead a new Agency Development Team for the Yahoo Ads business (direct sales for Yahoo’s owned & operated properties). This team will be instrumental in developing, maintaining and deepening senior relationships at the top holding companies. They are a revenue driver and serve as the Agency’s main point of contact for the Yahoo Ads business, partnering collaboratively with the Head of Agency Development for the Yahoo DSP as needed to best service the agency community.
In this role you will:
- Hire and develop a team of Agency Development Directors to support the Yahoo Ads business
- Set the strategic direction for Agency planning, activation, and performance
- Manage quarterly quota allocation and travel & expenses
- Create semi-annual Development Plans and Quarterly Business Reviews (internal and external)
- Provide strategic coverage and guidance to decision makers at the Agencies with the goal of driving advocacy and access for Yahoo Ads sellers
- Collaborate with Marketing & Events teams on key industry tentpole events
- Partner with Yahoo consumer group on thought leadership for education and learning agendas
- Participate in industry wide industry associations e.g. IAB, GARM
- Support the Voice of the Agency perspective on a Quarterly basis
- Partner with the Sales leaders to ensure there is connectivity and support
- Partner with key leaders of Business Development, Product, Policy, Legal and PYM (Price Yield Management)
- Influence product roadmaps and prioritization is critical as we move to trade on product features and enhancements.
- Alignment on key internal tools and processes e.g. Salesforce, VOC, Revenue tracking and performance
- Provide analysis of assigned Agency revenue (Buying trends) with the focus on driving ways to optimize revenue and drive differentiation for Yahoo Ads
- Build and enhance relationships at the highest levels within the assigned agencies – C-Suite, Senior Agency Influencers – to continuously uncover strategic opportunities to drive revenue
- Strong Internal communication champion, ensuring that Sales and the Agency Development Team (as well as other department leaders) are coordinated and efforts are in sync on a continuous basis
Requirements:
- 15+ years’ experience in the advertising industry across agency sales and/or business development with a concentration in digital advertising: display, mobile, tablet, video, etc.
- Proven ability to drive results, as well as create and sell-in innovative solutions to clients
- Deep understanding of agencies, how they work, their hierarchy and functions
- Proven ability to simplify and package complex product offerings for appropriate audiences.
- Ability to handle many initiatives simultaneously and prioritize according to revenue goals
- Ability to think strategically, understanding marketer needs and creatively translating these needs into compelling concepts and programs
- Love of the hunt – and the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
