HR Local Representative – UK & Ireland

As the HR Local Representative for GoGlobal in the UK and Ireland, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective functioning of human resources processes and procedures. You will be responsible for staying abreast of the latest HR trends, legal requirements, and employment law changes, providing crucial support to both client employees and managers. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from maintaining personnel records to handling employee relations and facilitating the onboarding process.

Roles & Responsiblities

Stay updated with the latest HR trends, practices, and legal requirements

Keeps abreast of human resources and current employment law changes affecting the company

Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries, act as first line of support for all inquiries from client employees and managers regarding programs, policies, and procedures

Maintain personnel records, manage HR documents and updating internal databases

Preparation of employment contracts and other documents related to employee onboarding and post-onboarding requirements by the employee i.e. Salary Letters, Employee Confirmation letters, etc.

Assist with onboarding new employees, coordinating benefits enrollments, onboarding new hires, administering employee time-off and scheduling, and administering employee benefits, absence reporting and payroll administration meaning basic pro rata calculations and inclusion of charges to clients in the non-payroll tracker.

Where required, process visa application for employees and their dependents. Including preparation of documents related to the residence visa applications

Documents submission/collection to and from the relevant government offices

Collaboration with various stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners, clients

Serve as an escalation point for our clients and clients’ employees and make sure their issues and concerns are solved quickly

Build and maintain positive employee relations

Handle sensitive employee information and maintain confidentiality

Assist with collecting data and reporting for internal audits

Other Ad Hoc Projects being requested

Requirements

A strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and local employment laws

Payroll processing experience is not required but a basic understanding of the principles and ability to perform pro rata calculations is meritorious

Work experience as an HR Specialist or similar role

CIPD level 3 certification (nice to have)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Awareness and appreciation for cultural differences

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with employees at all levels of the organization

Empathy and active listening skills to understand employees’ concerns and needs

Attention to detail when managing employee records, documentation, and HR processes

Skilled at analyzing problems, identifying solutions, and making sound decisions

Ability to work in dynamic environments with changing priorities

Flexibility in managing multiple tasks and priorities
