Job Summary: The HR Operations Supervisor – Payroll is responsible for the successful support of PuzzleHR clients by leading and developing a specialized operations team and the processes used to support PuzzleHR clients to successful outcomes. This role is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and development of employees, identifying improvement opportunities for clients and our employees, providing support for complex issues and escalations, procedures, projects, and solutions for Puzzle HR clients. Job Duties:
- Provides operational supervision, development, support, and guidance to the Managed Payroll Team.
- Proactively and consistently facilitates clear and effective employee and client communication.
- Creates and delivers proactive employee training sessions for the team based on client needs and opportunities.
- Leads and facilitates collaboration internally and externally to establish client success.
- Manages all elements of the internal recruiting and onboarding process for new hires to the Managed Payroll Team
- Supports team members in the creation of SOPs for processes and procedures related to Managed Payroll service and support.
- Works in collaboration with the HR Operations Manager and/or Director of Managed HR Services to address service improvements, allocation of resources, and strategic planning.
- Owns, addresses, and creates action plan for complex escalations and provides support to team and clients accordingly.
- Responsible for recurring supervisory duties including but not limited to employee performance management, time and attendance tracking, payroll management and approval, and internal employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Mentorship, coaching and employee development.
- Advanced understanding of HR and payroll best practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Effectively learning and navigating a variety of HR systems and platforms such as: payroll, benefits, applicant tracking systems, HRIS.
- Organizing, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Delivering clear and effective presentations.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of three (3) years in related human resources experience preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years in related HCM experience preferred.
- Demonstrated eye for process improvement.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to participate in video conferences/meetings.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary Description
$73,175 to $94,690
