Human Resources Assistant

To support the Director of Finance & HR, and combined Finance and Human Resources Department, as well as assist in activities that support the entire organization. Responsibilities will be focused on Human Resource related job functions but may entail supporting the other members of the Finance and HR team to accomplish tasks that apply to both finance and human resource-related job responsibilities.

This job description outlines the core job responsibilities of the position, however, the employer reserves the right to amend and modify these responsibilities should alternate needs arise. Roles And Responsibilities

Employee Responsibilities

  • Process new hire and termination paperwork
  • Place Job Postings, internal and/or external
  • Process and track any unemployment claim paperwork and follow up as needed
  • Assist employees with questions regarding HR platform, benefits, and where to find company information as a whole

Reporting Responsibilities

  • Pull and maintain various reports in order to monitor accuracy, timeliness and/or complete data and documentation within HRIS platform
  • Assist with online wage and compliance reporting needs (eg. EEOC, ACA Compliance, State Wage Reporting, etc.)
  • Maintain and update HR related forms and documentation within company’s proprietary platform (FMP)

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Monitor employees’ overtime hours and/or low hours worked
  • Process employee changes within all applicable platforms

Training Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing training and support to hiring managers with respect to hiring processes and procedures
  • Assist in Departmental Training of New Hires
  • Everyday assistance with Human Resource related tasks

Other Finance/Human Resource Responsibilities

  • Assist with Benefits Re-enrollment
  • Assist with Intranet Postings
  • Other administrative duties or related tasks as requested by the Director of Finance and Human Resources

Knowledge, Skills And Ability

Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, Basic Accounting, Database Management, Internet & Email, Google Drive, Cloud based storage, Shared files, documents and sheets

  • Two to three years HR Support Experience desired
  • Two to three years Professional Work Experience is a must
  • Industry Knowledge/Experience a plus
