Salary: £38,648 – £47,266 + £500 Home Working Allowance

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Commercial Strategy Team within the Professional Learning Services department, which leads on commercial activities that support the NSPCC’s strategic objectives by engaging professionals and organisations involved in working with children.

As a department, we produce, market and sell high-quality and evidence-based online and face-to-face child protection courses, as well as consultancy products, for anyone who works or volunteers with children. All revenue generated by our product portfolio is reinvested back into the NSPCC to help protect children.

Why are we recruiting?

The Commercial Strategy Team is responsible for driving the department’s 5-year growth strategy through data, insights and business development and we are now looking to grow the team to help us meet our ambitious goals.

The Key Account Manager will have the opportunity to take the lead on developing our customer retention strategy as well as supporting a range of high value customer relationships including an exciting national safeguarding project within the gas industry.

About The Role

The key aspects of the role:

  • Take the lead on selected strategic safeguarding partnerships for the dept
  • Identify and manage a portfolio of longer-term high value commercial customers to deliver excellent customer service
  • Develop a strategy to maximize sustainable commercial income from existing Professional Learning Services customers through customer renewals and cross selling NSPCC programmes, services and products

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Experience of successfully managing significantly large and multi-faceted accounts in a customer focused environment such as client management, sales, fundraising or marketing
  • Experience of project management
  • Experience of winning business from existing customers, e.g renewals, upselling outside of contracted work or developing customer retention processes
  • Highly developed ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships, including senior level stakeholder management

Working Environment And Benefits

Whilst the role is primarily home based, there is an expectation for the successful candidate to regularly travel to other parts of the country for events, conferences, client meetings, team meetings, training and to support the wider team. Therefore, this role is suited to candidates on the UK mainland only.
