Job Description SummaryThe HDGT Lead Project Finance Manager executes all Accounting, closing, and pacing activities for a given portfolio of projects to ensure timely and accurate financials. They will partner with Operations, functions, and HDGT BU Finance to achieve outcomes. Areas of responsibility include performing project margin reviews, pacing validation, monthly & quarterly closing activities, account reconciliation, assisting with Stat & Tax audits by providing appropriate data. This role is supporting the Americas Pole Projects for the Heavy Duty Gas Portfolio (Power Plant Supply & Installation).This is a remote role for any applicants within the Americas.
Job Description
As an HDGT Project Finance Manager supporting the Americas Pole , you will:
- Account for financials of the projects in line with GAAP & STAT policies & standards (e.g., revenue recognition, journal entries, etc.)
- Review project and understand key deliverables, TT terms, cash milestones, payment terms, FX & tax implications; organize budget handover & allocation; ensure project review accurately reflect project financial status and drive results to meet & better the As-Sold project financials
- Support operations by processing Change Orders and recording bonus/liquidated damages
- Review and reconcile periodic balance sheet accounts related to projects & prepare and present monthly balance sheet reviews
- Actively participate in project handover reviews from Inquiry to Order (ITO), to Order to Remittance (OTR) i.e., T&C clarifications, project setup, payment security, hedging evaluation, etc.
- Perform Margin Review calculations to enable HDGT New Units Finance to work with Project Managers to optimize the performance of the projects
- Maintain SAM & prepare data as part of the pacing process for validation with Operations (PMs)
- Possess detailed knowledge of the pacing case to enable HDGT BU Finance in optimizing the case
- Monitor intercompany transactions related to projects & partner with central IBS team to problem solve rejects & holds
- Provide internal and external Audit support relating to project accounting activity, balance sheet and P&L as needed
- Execute project accounting within ERPs per the global standards set by the business
- Be a strong advocate for LEAN culture, supporting continuous improvement of processes
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Operations in progressively larger positions of responsibility

- Financial Systems & Data Experience
- Expertise in relevant ERPs (e.g. PowerMax, CPM)
- Solid understanding of USGAAP and statutory accounting principles with ability to translate accounting requirements to ERP solutions
- Demonstrated ability to deliver with focus, prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly
- Experience and interest in driving process improvement
- Excellent time management, organizational and data driven skills
- Adaptable/flexible: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or ability to work in ambiguous situations

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 95,300.00 – 158,700.00 USD Annual.The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% annual performance incentive.
