Summary:

The Payroll Timekeeping Analyst reviews payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors. This position verifies all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensure all payments are made on time.

What you’ll be contributing:

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • Assists with the regular duties associated with the company payroll schedule.
  • Provides support for the implementation and future maintenance/support of the Kronos timekeeping system.
  • Facilitates the continued maintenance and support of the Kronos system.
  • All monthly/quarterly reporting for BLS, WC, & plants/terminals, & accounting.
  • Supports payroll and accounting team in maintaining an efficient payroll process that complies with all federal and state regulations.
  • Reviews timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies.
  • Utilizes employee payroll data and the appropriate systems to calculate accurate wages and withholdings based on hours worked, tax status, and pay rates.
  • Verifies attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments to post information to designated records accurately.
  • Analyzes compensation-related data, including wages and bonuses.
  • Reports to management on payroll issues and changes.
  • Fields employee questions on payroll, updated systems, and other payroll-related queries.
  • Support the implementation of the Kronos timekeeping system,
  • Ensuring CBA Compliance in Workforce Management
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc
  • Minimum 4 year/ Bacheor’s Degree in Accounting, finance, business or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and timekeeping analysis, or similar role.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365 Suite (emphasis on Excel/spreadsheets) and computer applications
  • Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently
  • Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in parallel to the conclusion
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Ability to interpret complex statistical data
  • Proficient in project management skills
  • Ability to be highly thorough and dependable
  • Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
  • Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion
  • Knowledge of payroll software.
  • Proficient in payroll and timekeeping virtual systems.
