About Shopify

Shopify is innovating faster than any other commerce stack. We put independence within reach for anyone with a dream to start a business. We transform enteprises and work with some of the world’s biggest names and brands who are pushing the limits — and expect us to, too.

While millions of merchants in over 175 countries already use Shopify, the remaining opportunity is vat. This is life-defining work that directly impacts people’s lives as much as it transforms your own. This is putting the power of the few in the hands of the many, is a future with more voices rather than fewer, and is creating more choices instead of an elite option.

About The Role

Shopify is an ambitious company. We’ve helped millions of merchants achieve independence through commerce. We’ve also grown very fast, which brings opportunities to take on bigger challenges than ever. But it also means we need to be deliberate and organized to build successful products at scale. This is what Product Operations is about. We keep thousands of people focused, coordinated and moving as fast as possible so Shopify combines the impact of giants with the speed of a startup.

We’re currently hiring two Product Operations roles within our Data team. A Product Operations Lead who will focus on supporting our Analytics Engineering (Data Engineering) team, and a Senior Product Operations Lead, who will partner with Discipline leads across Product, Data and Operations.

Data is the epicenter on sharing the signals of how Shopify is doing for our merchants and provides the insights on making key product decisions that touches millions of end users. What unites us is that the value we create for merchants is related in the following ways: (1) Our outputs help merchants scale their businesses; (2) Our insights tell stories that lead us to cutting edge products; (3) We use Shopify’s scale to create products no one else can.

  • Collaborate with X-Shopify teams, Revenue/Commercial, Product, Infra, and Eng to disseminate insights leading to data-informed product development, and ensuring the right people are involved in critical decisions early, regardless of the team they’re on
