Who We Need
The Program Manager plays a vital role in growing and sustaining Healthier Texas programmatic work, contributing to saving lives by reducing the prevalence of preventable diseases and improving access to health for all Texans. Based in Tarrant County and serving as a trusted resource for the local community, the Program Manager leads efforts to implement and manage the Health + Healing Hub project, fostering a culture of health within the 76104 and 76105 zip codes.
This position is responsible for overseeing the people management and program execution designed to address health inequities and improve community well-being. The Program Manager supports relationship development and project management, serving as a key liaison between community stakeholders, partners, and Healthier Texas leadership.
Under the supervision of the Senior Director, the Program Manager leads in collaboration, supervises staff and contractors, and monitors program deliverables and outcomes. A critical focus of this role is building community engagement, resiliency, and capacity individual and community health programming that community members to enact sustainable health behavior change changes. This is a grant funded position that has an estimated start date of April. This position will be hybrid requiring a mix of on-site (in the community) and remote work.
Requirements
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Project Management (50%)
- Serve as a lead Project Lead for the organization using project management processes
- Communicate effectively with your supervisor on project risks and potential roadblocks
- Ensure direct reports and project team members are using project management to increase coordination and communication
- Play a central role to foster cross-departmental collaboration with the marketing department on programmatic projects
- Lead projects towards the increase of efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced user experience
- Manage budgeted program expenditures for projects

Relationship Development and Maintenance (30%)
- Identify, pursue, secure, and maintain strategic partner relationships to inform the development of curricula and identification of speakers/facilitators for programming
- Communicate with partners and program stakeholders regularly to maintain strong relationships, monitor progress on agreements (where applicable) and identify growth opportunities
- Support the development of partnership goals, key performance indicators and partnership models
People Management (15%)
- Manage staff and/or contract labor support; develop statements of work, monitor progress on deliverables (as appropriate), and manage invoices
- Manage interns, as needed
Data Collection and Reporting (5%)
- Responsible for supporting organizational and/or grant/contract reporting
- Ensures data accuracy within programs
- Assist in the evaluation of data to improve program effectiveness and efficiency
- Additional reporting as needed

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, community health, public policy, or similar field (may be substituted with work experience)
- 1-2 years of experience leading and supervising staff
- Community Health Worker Certification (Texas) required (We will provide access to this certification)
- Spanish fluency required
- Project management
