Sartorius is seeking a dynamic and motivated Research & Development Strategic Account Manager to be based remotely in Maryland. In this role you will define and implement early-stage seeding strategy which will generate new middle/long-term business. You will build strong technical relationships with designated customer’s SMEs in key R&D/PD centers and act as a technical liaison leveraging the correct Sartorius experts and aligning them with the seeding strategy for critical opportunities, to drive maximal Sartorius technologies adoption at the early stage.
What you will accomplish together with us:
- Build strong technical relationships with designated customer’s SMEs in key R&D/PD centers and act as a technical liaison leveraging the correct Sartorius experts and aligning them with the seeding strategy for critical opportunities, to drive maximal Sartorius technologies adoption at the early stage.
- Define & execute the early stage seeding strategy.
- Accompany AS team, when they run trials at the customer’s site in support of the early-stage opportunities.
- Keep ownership over the projects until process is robust, including support for tech-transfers to other sites or CMO and document in SRM.
- Build strong technical relationships with designated customer’s SMEs on early-stage processes aimed at driving maximal technology adoption and collaborate closely with commercial team to ensure success.
- Support long-term partnership on a modality-relevant basis.
- Present value based on Sartorius solutions that is relevant, digestible, and practical for the Customer.
- Co-ordinate/attend trials and demo activities at the customer’s site in support of the early-stage opportunities with a goal towards commercialization, working closely with FAS/BA team; keep ownership over the projects until process is robust.
- Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization’s overall market and growth strategy.
- Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity.
- Assess and analyze customer needs, generate leads, respond to customer inquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate.
- Provide PD/Scale-up consultancy to accelerate the molecule development.
- Transfer knowledge and best practices to commercial team/AS team.
- Act as a process consultant for critical leads/opportunities to drive the adoption of Sartorius technologies / platforms.
What will convince us:
- Bachelors degree in life sciences or engineering (higher level of education would be beneficial)
- 5+ years’ experience in Biopharmaceutical Industry
- Understand biologics drug development and application process.
- Travel Requirements – Potential for up to 40% travel domestic and potential for international.
