Databox, a fast-growing and profitable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company that enables companies to monitor, report, and improve performance, is seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with expertise in data manipulation and analytics. This role is essential for providing advanced technical assistance to our prospects and customers and collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams to optimize and evolve Databox’s data capabilities.

Our Sales Engineers are essential to anticipating and addressing complex data and reporting needs. You’ll support numerous prospects and customers each month, ensuring they get the most out of our platform through advanced data manipulation, custom integrations, and dynamic visualizations. By implementing tailored data solutions, you will help ensure that Databox remains the preferred choice for customers’ data reporting needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calls with trial users and customers, in collaboration with sales consultants or customer success managers, to identify and assess complex reporting needs. Guide users through setup or provide custom implementation services as required.
  • Serve as an internal expert for addressing complex customer data requirements, focusing on dataset creation, transformation, and visualization within dashboard and reporting configurations.
  • Design and develop integrations with other software solutions using scripting, SDKs, no-code/low-code tools, and ETL platforms to facilitate data visualization.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and alignment with customer reporting needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Team to refine existing integrations, prioritize customer-requested features, and expand our suite of data connectors to support increasingly complex data requirements.

Experience and Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience with business analytics, financial, or data visualization software.
  • Demonstrated consultative expertise, preferably in subscription-based software sales to medium-sized businesses.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with no-code/low-code tools and ETL platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively translate complex technical solutions into actionable guidance for non-technical users.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Familiarity with leading software for sales, marketing, finance, and operations is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and problem-solving, with a proactive approach to researching and finding solutions.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) is an advantage.
