About our Client

This Company is at the forefront of identity security, providing cutting-edge solutions to protect enterprises from emerging threats. As we scale, we’re looking for a Founding Senior Account Executive to build and drive our sales function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to own the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting to closing enterprise deals, while working directly with leadership to shape our go-to-market strategy.

The Role

As our first Senior Account Executive, you’ll be both a hunter and a closer, leading enterprise sales efforts with a hands-on, tactical approach. This is a high-ownership role where you’ll be expected to prospect, engage, and convert high-value enterprise clients, all while driving internal alignment across product and leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: from outbound prospecting to closing deals
  • Identify and engage enterprise prospects, leveraging your network and industry expertise
  • Lead discovery calls, product demos, and stakeholder meetings
  • Drive internal alignment by working closely with product management, engineering, and leadership
  • Strategically rally resources to support deals—whether that’s technical experts, executives, or marketing assets
  • Develop and execute account-based sales strategies tailored to complex enterprise security buyers
  • Travel as needed to meet with key clients, attend industry events, and drive deals forward

Who You’ll Sell To

  • Primary Buyer: Head of Enterprise Identity, Head of IT Security
  • Key Stakeholders: CISO (Chief Information Security Officer)
  • Occasionally Engaged: CIO (not typically the buyer)

Sales Cycle & Deal Size

  • Average sales cycle: 3-5 months
  • Mid-sized enterprises: ~3 months
  • Large pharma/enterprise: Up to 6 months 
  • ACV (Annual Contract Value): $60K-$80K 

Who You Are

  • Experienced: At least 5+ years in enterprise security sales, ideally within identity security or broader cybersecurity (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Mandiant, etc.)
  • Proven Hunter: Comfortable generating your own pipeline without heavy sales ops support
  • Startup-Savvy: Has been an early AE in a startup and knows how to sell without a full staff of resources behind you
  • Tactical & Hands-On: Willing to pick up the phone, follow up relentlessly, and close deals
  • A True Closer: Skilled at navigating complex enterprise sales cycles and securing high-value contracts
  • Cross-Functional Leader: Able to influence internal teams and align resources behind deals
  • Strong Networker: Well-connected in the cybersecurity space, with the ability to open doors and create opportunities
  • Willing to Travel: Ready to hit the road for key meetings and industry events

Logistics

  • Compensation: $250-300k OTE ($125-150k base + commission)
  • Equity in the company (at our seed valuation)
  • Location: Remote within the mainland US, some travel required
