SEO Associate

WikiHow is seeking a talented and driven SEO associate to help us further our mission of teaching anyone in the world how to do anything.

In this role you’ll work with our world-class SEO team to execute SEO and content operations, conduct query research to refine wikiHow’s content strategy, and help ensure amazing wikiHow content can reach our audience through major search engines.

This role is unique because you will:

Directly contribute to wikiHow’s content strategy by:

  • Designing and conducting competitive analyses and SEO testing
  • Performing ongoing query research and optimization
  • Collaborating with Editorial teams to implement SEO content tactics
  • Assisting in domain-level technical and content SEO initiatives

Work intimately with and learn from world-class SEOs and help guide one of the largest domains in the world

  • wikiHow’s small but powerful SEO team has had experience growing some of the world’s most successful domains. You will work closely with these individuals to grow and develop your talent all while contributing to one of the world’s largest websites.

  • Despite being one of the most popular sites on the web, wikiHow has intentionally kept our team small, with just 30 employees. At wikiHow, you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with humble, kind, and talented individuals with experience creating best-in-class content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of SEO experience
  • Familiarity with SEO platforms like: SEMRush, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs
  • Familiarity with basic publisher KPI’s and data systems like Google Analytics
  • Experience in editorial or content roles is considered a plus

About the role:

  • We are only accepting applications from candidates based in Washington, Oregon, and California.
  • Compensation range is $60,000-$75,000 (depending on candidate experience and location).
  • We offer full medical, vision, and dental insurance.
  • We provide 15 days of PTO annually, paid holidays, and additional paid one-week company-wide closure during winter holidays (so you don’t have to use your PTO days for the holidays*)
