Position Overview

Service Technician

Location – Piteå (or within 100 kms radius of Piteå)

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Field Service Engineer/ Service Technician to join our friendly & dynamic team. The successful candidate will support our Customer Solution (Pulp & Paper) Sales organization across Northern Sweden, with a focus on Piteå and surrounding landscapes.

Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, chemical refills, and service measurements at customer sites. The role also involves preparing service reports and ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.

This is a home-office-based position with a company car provided.

The position will report to the Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Area Manager, we would expect you to be able to:

  • Install and build dosing equipment for trials and permanent systems
  • Perform all scheduled service visits at our customer site on time and as scheduled by his/her manager.
  • Work with the sales team to ensure sales growth at customer site/area and district
  • Ensure all needed communications are taking place with our customer including inventory, testing and equipment.
  • Focus on removing routine testing and/or service activities from sales representatives
  • Provide all reports to customers in the assigned format in a timely manner
  • Provide timely response on requests for information from customers and managers
  • Monitor chemical inventory to ensure no run out situations take place & ensuring we have proper lead time for each product
  • Check all feed equipment to make sure there are no issues
  • Provide first level maintenance on the equipment & troubleshoot when needed

On a day to day basis, we would also expect you to be:

  • Checking the operation of reactors, dosing pumps and other equipment and replacing feeding equipment with dosing equipment
  • Collection of samples at customer sites (with the main focus being Piteå)
  • Lab measurements of collected samples
  • Reports and data management & Probe calibration
  • Review of stocks of chemical products
  • Review of the operation of chemicals measurement
  • Control equipment maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Higher or Intermediary Education preferably Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Industrial Chemistry is required, or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Service experience or knowledge in the pulp & paper industry will be a distinct advantage.
  • Customer focus with an ability to fulfil customer needs and expectations and always being professional and confident with internal and external customers
  • Delivering Results – Deliver against strategic business KPI’s. Passionate about success and delivering operational excellence, whilst sharing best practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a true service attitude
  • Knowledge of Automation/electricity (Swedish Control & Regulation) is a plus!
  • Fluent Swedish and good English
  • Driving license
