We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with experience productionizing AI/ML models to join our dynamic team at Payscale. As a member of our Data Engineering team, you will play a critical role in reviewing, optimizing, and deploying AI/ML models into production environments. Your expertise in AI pipelines, API engineering, and model evaluation will be essential in ensuring the seamless integration and performance of AI solutions within our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Data Science team to review, assess, and optimize AI/ML models for efficiency, scalability, and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ML pipelines for the deployment and continuous integration of models.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand model requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient solutions.
- Develop and implement APIs for seamless integration of AI models into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and stability of deployed models.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production AI systems, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies, tools, and best practices, and apply them to enhance existing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 4 years of experience working as a Software Engineer working with Data Science teams to optimize and productionize AI/ML models.
- At least 2 years of experience with MLOps (designing and implementing scalable and high-performance AI pipelines using tools/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar).
- Must have experience in Python; experience in C#, or Scala for API development and optimization is a plus.
- Experience in API engineering with a strong focus on performance optimization and scalability.
- Experience with developing APIs that can handle high loads, ensuring efficient responses and minimal latency.
- Experience in implementing caching strategies, load balancing, and other techniques to enhance API performance and reliability.
- Experience in designing and deploying APIs in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) while considering scalability and elasticity requirements.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $116,400 – $174,600, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 8%. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
