Software Engineer, RPA

Completes the design, construction, development, testing, implementation, and technology delivery for business needs throughout VSP Global. Experienced Software Engineer is responsible for technical aspects of the entire process of agile development for moderately complex projects.

Design, code/develop, test, and implement moderately complex systems.

Design solutions to solve moderately complex business problems, considering operational and functional aspects of the solution, and demonstrating an understanding of the business function.

Research and permanently resolve system problems and incidents.

Mentor Apprentice and Associate Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

4+ years of programming experience.

Proficient programming experience in one or more current programming languages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong technical knowledge of all phases of application development including analysis and programming.

Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Preferred Skills

• Owning the code you develop; embracing, championing and looking to improve the code you inherit.
• Deployment of RPA components including bots, robots, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools
• Three (3) plus years of n-tiered application development experience on the Microsoft platform
• Experience with .NET Framework (3.5 – higher) & .NET Core (2.1 – higher)
• Experience in RPA technologies, e.g. – UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Celonis, SAP, Salesforce, etc.
• Experience working with internal associates to identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement
• Design, development, and testing of automation workflows

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $69,000.00 – $119,500.00
