Software Support Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Support Engineer for a remote role with a client based in Atlanta, GA. You will be working on the Application Operations Support team, providing technical support for enterprise-level application systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general questions and trouble tickets in a timely manner, hitting SLA’s
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify potential solutions for how to resolve an issue.
  • Prioritize multiple, open issues.
  • Strong w/ automation – shell scripting, Unix, cloud exp for looking in logs and troubleshooting
  • Developing automation (shell scripting) in order to resolve some issues automatically instead of having to handle manually
  • Need to be inquisitive with strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills
  • Experience with GCP and PCF, big query
  • On call 24×7, 2 weeks a month (team members rotate) – 1 week as primary, 1 week as secondary. Other than that, it’s M-F core business hours

Qualifications:

  • Strong w/ automation – shell scripting, Unix, cloud exp for looking in logs and troubleshooting
  • Developing automation (shell scripting) in order to resolve some issues automatically instead of having to handle manually
  • Need to be inquisitive with strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills
  • Experience with GCP and PCF, big query; Ruby or Java would be a big plus
  • Ability to work call 24×7, 2 weeks a month (team members rotate) – 1 week as primary, 1 week as secondary. Other than that, it’s M-F core business hours
