Our innovative technology enables any traditional landline phone to connect over the cellular network through a SIM card inside of our landline base, ensuring uninterrupted service (with power back-up) without the need for Wi-Fi, while offering best-in-class software features.

🌟 About the role
As our Strategic Talent Partner you will play a key role in accelerating our growth by sourcing and attracting top-tier talent. Working across Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Product/Engineering, you will build a deep understanding of our business and talent needs to be our eyes and ears in the market. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and teammates to refine strategies, scale recruiting efforts, and attract talent that aligns with Community Phone’s mission and values.
🚀 You will…

  • Deliver excellent A-level talent efficiently and quickly that retains and have your performance be evaluated thusly

  • Build an inner model of reality working back from the true performance KPI of 6-month candidate retention for A-level performance

  • Source and attract high-alpha candidates and have a voracious curiosity and understanding of excellence

  • Truly understand the pain hiring managers are attempting to relieve with their hiring efforts, helping them write job descriptions that convey an understanding of the business problem we’re solving with each hire

  • Interface with hiring managers, challenging their preconceived notions of what they need to hire for, and providing a backstop that the right role is being opened with clear personas aligned to business needs

  • Be capable of recruiting for senior level leadership positions but humble enough to hire for entry level positions as well

  • Interview candidates, assessing for fit by having humility and intellectual integrity to form a hypothesis about who people are (vs just getting the candidate to the next step)

  • Put an extreme emphasis on candidate experience, never ghosting candidates and also keeping them informed of the process and details of the opportunity.

  • Report on recruiting funnel and progress weekly to CEO with status updates (RYG); raising alarms, identifying constraints and risks and adapting quickly before getting blocked.

  • Iterate quickly and re-calibrate quickly, identify bottlenecks and prioritize viscerally understanding the Hiring Manager’s needs/pain and working back from that into a JD and hiring process

  • Experience and familiarity with an ambiguous and uncertain environment where direction changes often. You have the ability to perform well in spite of this and under pressure

  • Ability to challenge and push back on hiring managers when necessary

  • A ‘by-any-means-necessary’ attitude to building the organization, sometimes characterized by solving unsexy or monotonous problems if that is what’s required

  • Ability to build a deep understanding of the types of profiles we need, where to find them in the market, and how to evaluate them

  • Strong opinions on recruitment strategies and practices

  • Capability to thoroughly assess and identify the organization’s true talent needs across departments

  • Exceptional skill in scouring the market to find the best candidates for each position

  • Ability to share insights on when to hire key positions, using past experiences from other successes

  • An incredible eye for identifying top talent; the ability to peer into peoples’ true motivations and superpowers

  • Knowledge of the industry and key stories from other companies to pinpoint who at what company and at what stage would be the best fit for your current needs

💸 Compensation
Our compensation range for this position is between $120K-$140K/year. Total compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate. These factors include (but are not limited to) job-related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location.
