WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Nike’s Platform Console is an Enterprise application that empowers Nike engineers and
  • technologists to know what’s available to them and how to leverage technology in the
  • right way. It’s a user experience for discovering, managing, and using Nike Global
  • Technology Solutions, APIs and documentation and a key enabler in drive
  • standardization, simplification, and modernization of the Nike technology landscape.
  • As a Senior UX Designer at Nike, you will take comprehensive ownership of the
  • Platform Console design initiatives, connecting capabilities across Enterprise Platforms
  • to high-quality outcomes in this highly complex area while promoting a culture of
  • continuous improvement.

Ownership & Leadership:

  • Take full ownership of the UX design process, from ideation to final delivery, ensuring every detail aligns with our strategic vision.
  • Versatile, can balance multiple priorities and discern what’s important and constructively deals with problems that don’t have clear solutions and outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Develop and implement UX strategies that align with user needs and business goals, beginning with helping the team define key results used to track success. Identifies and acts on opportunities to expand their skills and responsibilities.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to participate in product discussions deliver cohesive and user-centric designs clearly, both verbally and in writing.

User Research:

  • Conduct and oversee user research to inform design decisions and validate design concepts.

Prototyping & Testing:

  • Proficient in the tools of the trade and looks to learn new ones.
  • Create prototypes and conduct usability tests to iterate on design solutions.

Advocacy:

  • Advocate for the user at all stages of the design process, ensuring user experience is at the forefront of every project.
  • Assists in evangelizing the Nike brand and design culture internally.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Seek out opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Continuing to hone their craft, improving their work through feedback and iterations and has an in-depth knowledge of design systems.

Deliverables

  • Always delivers high-quality, end-to-end design solutions that uphold Nike’s quality standards
  • Accurately estimates, prioritizes, and manages time, hits milestones and advances timelines.
  • Consistently has successful design reviews.
  • Fluent in Nike’s distinct design language but explores widely to generate multiplE design directions.
  • Produces a holistic look and feel between all pieces of a large project.
  • Intuitively knows the right design solution.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Consumer & Enterprise Tools Team powers the world’s most-loved digital experiences—scaling product creation, enterprise capabilities, and dynamic, brand-right journeys for every athlete*, everywhere. We enable Nike teams through Digital Product Design – obsessing efficient workflows with data, insights and automation. As a key member of this team, you’ll report into the Design Director of Enterprise Capabilities within Nike Digital Product Design.
WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of experience in end-to-end digital product design, 3+ of those years in UX design, with a proven track record leading successful design efforts.
  • A bachelor’s degree in design, UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Expert in UX design principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • A wide range of conceptual thinking and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in UX design.
