About VELUX:
At VELUX, we bring daylight and fresh air into homes and buildings, transforming spaces for better living. As we grow, we are looking for a motivated Regional Sales Manager to drive our sales efforts across Ireland (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). In this role, you’ll be the figurehead for VELUX in the market, responsible for building a strong network of partners and leading a high-performing sales team.
Your Role:
As the Regional Sales Manager for Ireland, your primary responsibility is to grow our market presence by building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, house builders, installer partners, and builder merchants. You will lead a team of Area Sales Managers and Project Development Managers, ensuring they are motivated, well-supported, and positioned for success.
Your key challenge will be to ensure that VELUX solutions are relevant to customers’ needs, both at the design phase with architects and house builders and at the implementation phase with installers and resellers. You will drive the overall sales strategy, while acting as the face of VELUX in the region.
Responsibilities:
Drive Sales Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Focus on building VELUX relevance with architects and house builders to position our products in new projects.
Network Development: Expand and strengthen a network of engaged installer partners who advocate for VELUX products, providing training, support, and tools to ensure they can deliver exceptional installations.
Merchant Reseller Partnerships: Enhance VELUX’s presence in builder merchants by developing strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring product visibility and support to drive sales.
Field Sales Leadership: Inspire and coach your field sales team, providing them with the direction, tools, and support needed to succeed. You will mentor and develop Area Sales Managers and Project Development Managers to meet their individual targets and business objectives.
Market Insight & Strategy: Continuously monitor the market, including trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, to inform your sales strategies and wider business, ensure VELUX remains the first choice in the market.
Operations Collaboration: Work closely with our Operations team, including customer support, after-sales technical services, and logistics, to ensure a seamless experience for our customers. This collaboration will be key in ensuring that customer needs are met from initial contact through to post-installation support, helping to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the VELUX figurehead in the region, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and in discussions with key stakeholders. Your presence will be vital in driving both short-term sales and long-term relationships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams across GB&I and Northern Europe to ensure alignment in sales strategies, sharing best practices, and leveraging wider resources to support the Irish market.
About You:
You are a people-focused leader with a deep understanding of the construction industry and experience in building networks and managing sales teams. Your ability to inspire and guide your team to exceed sales targets, while forging strong relationships with key partners, sets you apart. You are highly strategic, with an ability to align market opportunities with business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience leading and coaching distributed sales teams.
Strong knowledge of the construction industry, with particular expertise in working with architects, house builders, and resellers.
Experience in developing partnerships with installers and resellers to drive sales growth.
Strategic mindset with the ability to manage both day-to-day operations and long-term planning.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
Ability to analyse market data and adapt strategies based on changing market conditions.
Experience using CRM systems and managing team performance through data-driven insights.
Full driving licence and ability to travel across Ireland regularly, to the VELUX head office in Glenrothes, Scotland and Europe when required

Location:
This field-based role covers the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, with regular travel required to meet customers, partners, and manage the field team. Some occasional international travel will also be required to meet with the wider Sales team at conferences in the UK, Denmark, Germany, and other locations in Northern Europe.
