The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving data-driven insights, with a strong
emphasis on data analytics, financial modeling, and performance analysis within the broad
Signet organization. This individual will leverage their expertise in corporate finance and retail
operations to provide actionable insights, optimize financial performance, and support key strategic initiatives under the direction of Senior Financial leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data, operational metrics, and retail performance trends to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost control
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis, tailored to the unique dynamics of the retail industry
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into key performance drivers such as sales performance, gross margins, inventory turnover, and customer behavior
  • Utilize data analytics tools to aggregate, analyze, and visualize large datasets, creating dashboards and reports that track KPIs and highlight emerging trends
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy by incorporating both historical data and predictive analytics
  • Provide support in the annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives
  • Partner with IT and data teams to improve data quality, streamline reporting processes, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance financial visibility
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to senior leadership, summarizing key findings and recommendations
  • Identify risks and opportunities, providing management with recommendations to mitigate financial risks and capitalize on opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or IT Analytics
  • 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools with a strong ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance principles
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear, concise manner
  • CFA or data analytics designation preferred
  • Experience in retail, CPG, or e-commerce sectors preferred
  • Experience with Tableau, connected data and SQL preferred
  • Understanding of retail metrics and related operational KPIs preferred
  • Experience working within a structured EPM environment with advanced Excel skills (Macros, complex formulas, etc.) preferred
