The role is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and out on the road visiting our brokers.
What will I be doing?
- Developing partnership relationships with Mid-Market brokers through frequent on-site visits, training, social events and performance review meetings to deliver growth in commercial lines mid-market business
- Profitably underwriting and account managing commercial mid-market risks, within Covéa Insurance’s underwriting strategy
- Developing a pipeline of mid-market prospects and delivering a competitive new business service for brokers in line with tactical trading tools
- Promoting the benefits of Covéa Insurance products and services across Mid-Market, SME and Schemes
- Supporting colleagues to achieve our planned renewal retention and rate improvement targets
- Maintaining an accurate audit trail using Covéa Insurance’s systems, practices and procedures.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the commercial lines market, the Mid-Market broking marketplace and current legislation & litigation
- Supporting mid-market operational & process improvement
You should apply if you can demonstrate:
- Relationship management skills
- Experience in profitably underwriting larger and more complex commercial risks
- Portfolio Management capability
- An ability to deliver financial targets and develop future plans
- Experience providing technical and soft skills support to colleagues
- A strong & decisive approach to commercial underwriting
- Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to influence positive outcomes
- An ability to work independently and within a team level
- Use of initiative, innovativeness and a willingness to take the lead
- Minimum Dip CII or progress towards (preferred but not essential)
