About the role:
We are looking for a meticulous Automation Test Engineer to contribute to and review the creation of designs for production software. Responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks and focus on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. You will need to be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fun, fast-paced dynamic team environment. As such, an SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to improve the manual testing process.
Your contribution will be:

  • Understand the flow of code and how it interacts with different components
  • Understand project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases
  • Set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms and build test scenarios and acceptance tests
  • Investigate customer problems referred to you by the technical support team, test bugs, and create and manage bug reports
  • Handle technical communications and understand the customers’ systems.
  • Work with deployment teams, resolve level issues for systems, coordinate on product design, and offer inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs
  • Develop and define test standards and measurements, driving adoption of operational metrics to track system quality and performance
  • Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, R&D, and Infrastructure teams to ensure successful project delivery.

To be successful, we think you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a SDET role test working with Microsoft solution stack as developer or SDET including .Net, C#, Windows operating system, Windows server and Windows PowerShell script.
  • A track record of improving QA efficiency through test automation and tools
  • Experience with Test Automation tools such as Selenium, Coded UI, TestComplete
  • Experience with Visual Studio test professional
  • Experience with agile development
  • Excellent knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology
  • Excellent knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools
  • Exposure to Behavior Driven Development and experience in programming and testing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
