About the role

Frontiers is seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain enterprise-level applications such as Jira, Confluence, Office 365 apps and others.

The System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, security and optimal performance of these applications, providing high-level support, managing user access and ensuring proper configurations are in place to meet business needs.

This role involves collaborating closely with the Applications Manager and other teams to ensure applications are running efficiently and in compliance with security standards. This role will report to the Enterprise Solutions Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the day-to-day administration of enterprise applications, ensuring their smooth operation and availability to users.
  • Implement and manage application configurations, including user roles, permissions and system settings, to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Act as Level 3 support for enterprise applications, troubleshooting complex technical issues and escalating to external vendors when necessary.
  • Work closely with the Applications Manager to implement change requests for application modifications, ensuring that all changes are tested, documented and deployed effectively.
  • Ensure that applications are secure and comply with organizational security policies, managing user access controls and monitoring for any potential security risks.
  • Continuously monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement to ensure the applications support business processes efficiently.
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of application configurations, system procedures and troubleshooting guides.
  • Work alongside the Applications Manager and other teams to implement solutions that meet the organization’s business objectives, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency.

Required skills

  • Strong experience administering enterprise applications like Jira, Confluence and Office 365 apps or similar.
  • Proficiency in user access management, permissions configurations and system settings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues as part of Level 3 support.
  • Strong understanding of application security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with change management and testing procedures for application updates.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation.
