Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring the processes to ensure compliance with quality level and regulations to reduce the business or fraud risk exposed to company.
- Working with managers, staff and other employees to meet internal and external customer needs in a responsive, efficient manner.
- Hiring, developing, motivating, supporting and coaching the operations staff; recommending the allocation of human resources.
- Guiding and supervising the operations of department(s) including ensuring that performance, inventory and timeliness goals are met and accurately reported; supporting initiatives for process improvement and ensuring successful completion of assigned projects.
- Reviewing and resolving quality errors and providing feedback; performing audits as needed.
- Collecting data and completing individual and department reports, and other reports as needed.
- Manage the performance and behaviors of subordinates as well as taking appropriate disciplinary action, when necessary.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment
Experience
- 3 years – Operational, Customer service, Claims, or related experience required
- 1 year – Experience in a leadership/management role required
Skills\Certifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
- Demonstrated presentation and team facilitation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and TEAMS)
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
The Member Benefits Administration division at BCBST is looking to add an Operations Supervisor to our team. In this role, you will oversee a customer service team that assists Individual members and work closely with Membership and other Operations Supervisors to meet internal and external customer needs. Expertise in Operations, Customer Service, Claims, or a related field is strongly preferred. Informal leadership experience, such as project leadership, is welcome in this position. This role includes the opportunity to engage with team members through quarterly onsite visits and other divisional events.
Employees who are required to operate either a BCBST-owned vehicle or a personal or rental vehicle for company business on a routine basis* will be automatically enrolled into the BCBST Driver Safety Program. The employee will also be required to adhere to the guidelines set forth through the program. This includes, maintaining a valid driver’s license, auto insurance compliance with minimum liability requirements; as defined in the “Use of Non BCBST-Owned Vehicle” Policy (for employees driving personal or rental vehicles only); and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR). *The definition for “routine basis” is defined as daily, weekly or at regularly schedule times.
