About the Role

We are seeking an experienced lead to support and scale our management of partner operations at Ethos. Among others, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for creating an efficient, highly successful carrier contracting team, as well as develop process, reporting and metrics around carrier contracting. You will also be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing scalable solutions that support the continuous improvement and growth of the organization. We are looking for someone who is energetic, self-motivated, and ready to step up to the challenge of helping build a best-in-class agent contracting program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day carrier contracting operations
  • Deeply understand the carrier contracting process and data to develop and execute effective agent carrier contracting procedures, policies, controls, and standards
  • Develop, Analyze, and Monitor relevant carrier contracting metrics and prepare reports
  • Collaboratively lead the gathering, documentation, prioritization, and communication relevant enhancements and fixes to our carrier contracting practice, including working with Carrier contracting and licensing contacts, vendors, Engineering, Marketing, CX, Sales, Agent Quality, Compliance, and Analytics
  • Partner with the Head of Partner Operations to develop relevant goals and objectives then work with the team to meet them on a consistent basis
  • Act as liaison between Compliance, Agent Quality, CX, Risk Ops, Sales and other cross-functional partners
  • Gather, document, and communicate relevant product, marketing, and business updates to the carrier contracting team
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop partnership operations associates
  • Create and nurture a work environment and team culture where agents can excel
  • Stay informed on the latest industry best practices, strategies, and methods

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in licensing and contracting with carriers, 3+ years of experience managing a team and operations
  • Extensive knowledge of licensing and contracting market practice, trends and new technology
  • Sharp focus on execution and an owner mentality with a track record of delivering success in a timely manner
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and drive to solve problems
  • Excellent time management and prioritization necessary to balance all responsibilities
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments with little direction and be scrappy about it – we don’t have all the answers, but you’ll need to find them
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written); openness to collaboration, hearing different perspectives from team members, and driving towards the best outcome for customers and the business
  • Adaptable to change and ability to change tasks quickly with maintaining attention to detail

The US national pay range for this full-time position is $131,006 – $256,875. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
