About the job
This position is needed to support Twilio’s internal communications programs for the G&A (General & Administrative) functions, namely, culture and employee experience (People Team), Legal, IT, Finance and Twilio.org, working closely with leaders and subject matter experts of these functions. The person in this role will also spearhead projects focused on creative content development and manage change initiatives for high-profile corporate programs. As a member of Twilio’s highly-collaborative and regarded Internal Communications team, the person in this role will play a pivotal role in shaping Twilio’s future success.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Plan and advise on internal communications for culture & employee experience, Legal, IT, Finance and Twilio.org programs that impact employees, ensuring that messaging is clear and well understood by critical audiences
- Draft and/or consult on sophisticated, thoughtful executive communications for the G&A leaders i.e. emails, video scripts, and presentations
- Identify opportunities to establish new ways of developing and delivering creative, fun programs across internal communications channels, connecting employees with Twilio’s C-suite, vision, strategy, and culture
- Collaborate with program leaders across G&A functions, act as a thought partner and influence program decisions
- Plan, draft messaging, and execute on G&A-related announcements, creating a strategic narrative
- Partner with your internal and external communications teammates to tell a cohesive story to employees helping them navigate change

Required:
- 7+ years of internal and/or executive communications experience
- 5+ years Tech industry experience
- Excellent verbal and written storytelling skills, including high-quality, thoughtful executive communications and strategic messaging for business-critical issues
- The presence and confidence to quickly become a trusted advisor to program managers and senior leaders
- Experience conceiving and executing fun, creative programs connecting employees to company culture and strategy
- An ability to roll with the punches and stay grounded in a highly fluid environment
- Proficient in consistently using AI for research, drafting, generating creative ideas, and sentiment analysis
- Results and metrics oriented. Thinks in terms of measurable results to gauge program effectiveness and course correct where needed
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or otherwise writing-intensive field
- Experience using AI for drafting content and generating creative ideas
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to connect the dots and solve problems
- Proactive with sense of urgency
- Adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Calm under pressure
- Loves building relationships and being part of a team
Desired:
- Proficiency with AirTable, Slack, ServiceNow, Zoom, Google Workspace, Staffbase, Slido, Polly
- Experience with engaging, fun employee events, both in person and virtual
Location
This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in California, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Washington.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately quarterly travel to San Francisco headquarters is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way and collaborate with your team on projects.
