The IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Team is here to ensure we protect our customers whilst enabling innovation and great customer experience. The team support the entire business including our Voice, claims, Networks and infrastructure Channels, Digital Products, and services, from awareness to direct security delivery and more.

What will I be doing?

  • Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, VMware vSphere & Storage Arrays
  • Regularly updating security software & patches to address newly discovered vulnerabilities
  • Implementing & maintaining security controls to protect network resources from cyberattacks
  • Configuring firewalls, intrusion detection systems, & other security devices to enforce access control policies & prevent unauthorized access
  • Researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of network vulnerabilities
  • Analyses & making recommendations to improve network, system & application architectures
  • Assisting in responding to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments

You should apply if you have…

  • Previous knowledge & experience of working with: Patch Management, Windows Server technologies, Linux OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco ASA’s, Cisco Switch’s, Jupiter Mist
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs & benefits of potential actions & identify the most appropriate one
  • An understanding of organisational mission, values, & goals & consistent application of this knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving & trouble-shooting skills, with a curiosity & willingness to learn new skills & techniques
  • An ability to document network security issues, procedures, & incident reports, whilst staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, & attack methods
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, & preferably ITIL qualified at least at foundation level, or a willingness to obtain qualification
  • 3+ years of work experience in IT/network security or similar role, & with complex multi solution networks
  • Current knowledge of both Windows and Linux OS
