We are looking for a Lease Payments Analyst. This position will help drive Sonder Lease Administration to new heights of quality and accuracy.
This position works under deadlines, collaborates with other key teams across Sonder, brings new ideas to solve problems, and contributes to improving many processes across Sonder. You will be a part of the leadership team, motivating others, helping solve problems, and having fun!
The Opportunity:
- Be responsible for pulling reports on information regarding lease dates, dollars and terms from the lease management database
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, including the implementation of a new payment process
- Perform payment audits and quality checks for data accuracy in the lease system
- Assist with preparation and distribution of periodic and ad hoc reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop and maintain monthly reporting for lease payment variances and investigating variances prior to payment approvals
- Perform in depth payment reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure rent payments match the lease agreements
- Work closely with operations to ensure that payments are approved and variances are resolved timely
Who We Look For:
- Working knowledge of legal documents including lease agreements and amendments
- Payment reconciliation and analysis experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive attitude with the ability to identify gaps and willingness to step in where needed
- Ability to work independently as well as on teams with diverse personalities and skill levels
- A creative problem solver who is open to new ideas and new approaches
- Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively and being resourceful
- 3+ years commercial real estate experience or any similar combination of education and experience
- Experience with NetSuite, CoStar, Directus, and Klarity is a plus.
