The Opportunity
As our Life Science Partnerships Business Development Rep (BDR), you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our vision to life. You’ll evangelize our cutting-edge real-world data solutions to the Life Sciences market, generating leads that fuel our commercial success. This dynamic role is tailored for passionate and proactive individuals who thrive on taking initiative. You will collaborate with business development and commercial leadership to shape our go to market approach while working with industry experts and using cutting-edge technologies as you contribute to the broader mission of enhancing patient outcomes through real-world data solutions.
As the BDR, you will:
- Communicate PicnicHealth’s value to potential Life Sciences prospects through various channels, including phone and email.
- Leverage internal and external resources to generate new leads while tracking all outreach in Salesforce.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new and creative outreach strategies to secure meetings with prospects, including event-based and account-based prospecting strategies.
- Execute relevant market research (company, role, drugs, disease areas, trial results) on prospects and translate findings into meaningful messaging of how PicnicHealth can help them.
- Drive business development and pipeline development activities with customers by securing initial meetings and engagements.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team and leverage research findings and sales materials to qualify leads into sales opportunities.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to travel (up to 30%) to conferences, client meetings, investigator meetings, and more.
You are a great fit if you have:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales and lead generation experience with diverse outreach channels (e.g., email, social, phone).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
- An analytical mindset and proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software (bonus points for Apollo or similar sales productivity tools).
- Proficient in market research, including healthcare news, clinical trial updates, and competitor analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships with diverse teams.

We’re a remote first company, with teammates spread across the US. We support in-person gatherings, including co-working spaces and multi-day onsites, to build connections and move forward strategic initiatives. Expect to travel 2-4 times a year. For our team members in the Bay Area, who prefer to work in person we can offer a hybrid set up to work from the SF office on a flexible schedule.
Target Base Salary Range:Base Salary: $80k-100k (plus variable compensation)
The base salary PicnicHealth offers may vary depending upon the scope, complexity, and autonomy of the position and on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total package will include commissions and equity, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
