Manager – Product Expert, SAP Reporting & Analytics

Position Summary:

• The primary purpose is to facilitate seamless developments in SAP BW4/HANA, Datasphere Embedded Analytics and SAC.
• Key accountabilities include Managing technical team and collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, providing solutions that align with business objectives, and implementing scalable and reliable applications on the SAP BW4 / Datasphere Suite.
• Experience in Designing and developing reporting solutions using technologies such as SAP Cloud platform or SAP S4/HANA Suite using embedded analytics.
• Expertise in programming languages like SQL, ABAP, Python.
• Expertise in providing technical support to resolve reporting-related issues and incidents, including root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Configuring and customizing reporting solutions to meet specific business needs, including mapping data formats and orchestrating business processes.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, user guides.
• Conducting testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of BW solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP ERP/S4HANA systems and cloud technologies with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
• Data modeling: Strong Understanding of BW4HANA Calculation View Modeling, Table Functions etc
• SQL: Ability to write SQL scripts and stored procedures
• CDS views: Strong experience customizing Standard CDS views
• S4HANA: Experience with S4HANA embedded reporting customization.
• Performance optimization: Proficiency in performance tuning techniques, such as evaluating statistical performance and data load improvisation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Technical expertise and proficiency in SAP BW4/HANA, Datasphere. Effectively design, develop, and implement reporting solutions that meet the needs of the organization and drive business success.
• Managing reporting team, coach and mentor new team members.
• Adherence to reporting standards, Continuous improvement, and best practices

Organizational Responsibilities:

• Interacting with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, understand business processes, and ensure that reporting solutions align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Work with implementation partners who may be responsible for deploying, configuring, or maintaining integrated solutions within the client’s IT landscape.
• Coordinate with developers and other members of the development team to implement reporting solutions, share knowledge, and address technical challenges.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 10+ years of Experience in SAP BW/BW4HANA.

Experience:

• At least 8+ years of experience in development in SAP BI 7.0, BW4/HANA, Native HANA.
• At least 2+ years of experience in SAP Datasphere
• At least 2+ years of experience SAP SAC and Microsoft PBI
• Strong experience in ABAP CDS Views, SQL, Python.
• Good understanding of Datasphere on BTP.

Technical Skill Requirement:

• Expertise in Upgrade, Migration, Implementation and Production Support Projects, along with a keen passion to stay up to date with latest technologies and coming up with PoCs for how they can be used by clients.
• Strong Experience in SAP BW4/HANA, Datasphere and embedded analytics concepts.
• Strong Experience in reporting platforms like SAC, Power BI, WEBI.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Handled at least one end-to-end SAP Implementations, upgrades, Migrations and Global Rollouts.
• Data modeling: Understanding of HANA View Modeling, Analytical View, Attribute View, and Calculation Views
• SQL: Ability to write SQL scripts and stored procedures
• CDS views: Strong experience customizing CDS views.
• S4HANA: Experience with S4HANA embedded reporting customization
• Performance optimization: Proficiency in performance tuning techniques, such as evaluating statistical performance and data load improvisation.
• SAP ABAP: Decent SAP ABAP skills
• Excellent communication skills, Customer management, Strong problem solving and analytical skills, Ensuring data integrity and security.
• Monitoring process chains.
• Understanding of SOX and regulatory reporting.

Location: Hyderabad, India.
Physical Position Requirement:
Regular working hours are from 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST. (ICC Second Shift)

Sometimes, more overlap with the EST Time zone is required during production go-live.
