Spreetail is seeking a Sr. Director, Inbound Transportation to help lead our global transportation operations to new heights of efficiency and growth. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader who can seamlessly manage both international and domestic inbound shipments, from purchase order to warehouse delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of process improvement, cost reduction, and data-driven decision-making to optimize our transportation networks. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies that support our ambitious year-over-year growth targets.
How you will achieve success:
- Full Ownership of International and Domestic Inbound Supply Chain Oversight: Take charge of end-to-end management of both international and domestic inbound shipments, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation from purchase order to warehouse delivery.
- Domestic Inbound Shipment Responsibility: Oversee all aspects of domestic inbound transportation, including vendor management, carrier partnerships, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet operational needs.
- International Inbound Transportation Oversight: Manage all facets of international inbound transportation, from ocean freight to customs compliance and inbound profit and loss.
- Process Improvement and Cost Reduction: Design, lead, and implement strategies to improve processes and reduce costs for both international and domestic supply chain operations.
What experiences will help you in this role:
- 10+ years in international and domestic supply chain roles, particularly in US imports and domestic logistics.
- Experience with high-volume environments that require fast decision-making and effective communication.
- Expertise in contract negotiations, especially with ocean freight, NVOCC, inland carriers, and domestic transportation providers.
- Strong understanding of import compliance and trade programs.
- Data-oriented with proven experience in using data to inform supply chain decisions.
- Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
- Ecommerce experience preferred
