As a Software Designer in our Interventional Hemodynamic Solutions team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing software components for the Philips Interventional Hemodynamic System. This medical system plays an important role in assessing and analyzing patients’ hemodynamic conditions during Interventional Cardiac Procedures. (Visit for more information: Philips Hemo with Intellivue X3). Our software is a real-time application, incorporating components for rendering and network communication.
You will work in a small software development team consisting of five highly skilled engineer, as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary business team responsible for the Interventional Hemodynamic monitoring business within Philips IGT Systems, located in Best, The Netherlands.

Your Role
- Design, develop, test, and maintain parts of the Philips Hemodynamic application in line with the team’s defined requirements and design specifications.
- Innovate by working on new features for the Philips Hemodynamic application while providing support for products already in the field.
- Contribute to planning, refinement, and estimation sessions as part of our Agile Scrum methodology.
- Understand the impact of your code on the broader software architecture and communicate this effectively to team members.
- Proactively suggest improvements to our software development processes to further enhance quality.
- Stay current on the latest developments in software technology and share insights with the team.
- A full-time role with the flexibility of a hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days in the office.
You’re the Right Fit If You Have
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience as a technical software developer.
- Proficiency in the latest C++ standards (C++17 or later).
- Familiarity with C# software development is a plus.
- Experience working with legacy code.
- A strong team spirit and communication skills, with fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Preferably, experience in medical software, real-time applications, UI frameworks, and standards like DICOM and FHIR.
- Experience working in small teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
