Join the team as Twilio’s next People Generalist Manager to lead a dynamic, global team of  People Generalists who serve as an essential support to our HR Business Partners (HRBPs). This leader will oversee and develop a team dedicated to delivering  critical HR services, including recurring programs, reporting and process support, in partnership with HRBPs to focus on strategic partnership and organizational impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with a passion for scaling global teams, driving process improvements, and serving as the primary link between  the People Generalist team, HRBPs,  and our Centers of Excellence (COE’s).

About the job

This position is required  to act as a central link between People Generalists, HRBPs, and COE’s, ensuring seamless communication and alignment in delivering consistent and effective HR support. This person will  be responsible for scaling our  People Generalist team to meet the evolving needs of the business, leveraging existing resources while also looking to adopt automation, and streamline processes to increase operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of  People Generalists, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
  • Drive performance through coaching, goal setting, and regular feedback, ensuring the team possesses  the skills and knowledge to support HRBP’s in a consistent and effective manner.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for HRBPs and COEs, ensuring that  People Generalists are aligned with organizational goals and priorities
  • Act as a liaison between the HR Generalists, HRBPs, and COEs, ensuring seamless communication, alignment, and collaboration
  • Oversee the team’s support in tactical HR responsibilities, such as employee inquiries, policy administration, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Develop and execute a strategy to scale HR Generalist support to keep pace with organizational growth and changing business needs, including identifying opportunities to streamline and automate

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years as an HRBP or related discipline in a high-growth, fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills with a proven ability to develop trusting relationships and influence at all levels within the organization to achieve business results
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and improving programs/processes, including design, build, rollout, and adoption to users and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to  deep-dive programs and process and recommend/implement improvements in processes, systems, and workflows
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and communicate effectively, with a demonstrated interest in leadership, such as a project lead, peer mentor, or training

Desired:

  • Prior program or project management experience
  • Prior management experience
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages applicable to the region.

Location

This role will be remote, and based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.

Travel 

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 10% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.
