Join our dynamic team as a Sr. Payroll System Analyst specializing in global payroll systems and processing! At Kraken, our mission is to ensure seamless and accurate payroll operations, enabling our organization to focus on driving success and growth in the crypto industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our payroll system and payroll accounting.

The opportunity
Payroll Discrepancy Management: Research and analyze discrepancies in payroll and benefits, implementing appropriate corrections.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare a variety of complex payroll-related reports to support the payroll team and management.
System Updates and Implementation: Interpret, test, and implement all payroll systems.
Methodology Development: Develop methodologies, tools, and procedures to ensure integration between applications and compliance with regulations and policies.
Change Management: Collaborate with the payroll team in change management activities, including making recommendations, creating and updating documentation, and system training related to modifications and enhancements.
System Configuration: Update and maintain payroll-related configurations and tables such as companies, pay groups, earnings, deductions, localities, and taxation definitions.
Deduction and Tax Setup: Ensure proper setup for new deductions, taxes, earnings, and GL mapping within the systems.
Project Support: Co-lead various projects for process improvement or new initiatives, which may involve collaboration with external vendors and internal payroll partners (e.g., Benefits, GL Accounting Team, and HRIS).
Year-End Project Plan: Support and/or lead the interdepartmental year-end project plan, ensuring systems and payroll calendars are prepared for the new year.
Discrepancy Review: Review and research discrepancies in Journal Entries as requested by the GL team.
Skills you should HODL
Knowledge and experience in payroll processing and payroll accounting
Sound experience in payroll implementation, payroll testing, and GL mapping
Experience with ERP systems such as ADP, UKG, Cloudpay, Netsuite and Workday
Possess strong technical and accounting skills, including extensive Excel
Ability to thrive in team environment
Cryptocurrency familiarity very desirable
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication and collaborative attitude
Thrives in fast paced environment
