Job Description – Product Inclusive Unit resource

Summary: GBT is looking for driven and customer focused candidates to join our Solution, Implementation and Deployment team within Technology organization. If you are passionate about travel, motivation driven to help others and willing to learn, we are looking for you! This role for a Product Inclusive Unit resource is to manage the onboarding of customer product tools in our SME segment.  This includes consulting and optimally configuring the products in scope to meet clients’ needs within the platform offering. Provides subject matter expertise to different teams such as Commercial, Product Development, Support amongst others.

Onboarding Manager

We are looking for determined and customer-oriented candidates to join the Solution, Implementation and Deployment department of Technology in our organization. If your passion is business travel, you are motivated to help others and willing to learn, we are looking for you! The role in this Product Inclusive Unit team role is to manage the implementation of customer product tools in our SME segment. The task includes consulting and optimal definition of products to meet customers’ needs, as well as cooperation with various stakeholders in our organization.

In the position of Onboarding Manager, we expect:

  • Smooth meeting with the client and professional management of the project related to the start of the cooperation. You are the customer’s help in getting them to become a GBT customer.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans .
  • Smooth cooperation with other stakeholders such as service and system delivery, commercial, product development and support, also worldwide in GBT.
  • Competent professional discussion in accordance with the customer’s expectations, interpretation of the customer’s travel instructions and definition of services accordingly.
  • The ability to define the necessary systems, test and troubleshoot using e.g. PNR interpretation.
  • Active participation in the development of common practices, standardization and quality improvement.
  • Ability to act as an expert in service implementation projects.

Performance in the role of Onboarding Manager requires:

  • Several years of experience in the travel agency industry.
  • You have clear communication skills, you can handle customer calls in Finnish and English
  • Analytical thinking ability
  • Ability to work independently, but at the same time be involved in teamwork in accordance with the team’s goals.
  • Previous experience in project management
  • Knowledge of business travel
  • Good time and change management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent general technical skills
  • Knowledge of various GDS (Amadeus/Sabre/Apollo/Galileo) and online booking tools (such as Neo, Concur, GetThere)
  • Strong skills to work and organize work virtually
  • Tenacity and the ability to drive change in the face of possible resistance
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Identifying and escalating critical issues (including gaps between global agreements and local needs)
  • Ability to define schedules between the client and GBT’s internal teams, identify risks and make decisions, consult and support at different stages of implementation, manage workload and prioritize.
