Yelp
Summary
Yelp engineering culture is driven by our values: we’re a cooperative team that values individual authenticity and encourages creative solutions to problems. All new engineers deploy working code their first week, and we strive to broaden individual impact with support from managers, mentors, and teams. At the end of the day, we’re all about helping our users, growing as engineers, and having fun in a collaborative environment.
As an Engineering Manager on Ads you’ll contribute to our mission to balance the interests of Yelp users, business owners, and Yelp’s revenue across a dynamic market that is constantly evolving. The teams work together to decide what, where, and when to show ads to users both on and off Yelp. We are driven to deliver the best value possible to small and large businesses across the country and help users meet their everyday needs.
As a manager within Ads, you will lead, grow, and inspire a team of skilled engineers to meet the challenges of Yelp’s ever-changing ads landscape. You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional group of product managers, business analysts, data scientists, and members of our executive team to strategically balance shorter-term wins and longer-term investments.
This opportunity requires you to be located in the Republic of Ireland. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.

What it takes to succeed:
- Previous experience as a manager with the empathy and communication skills to match.

- A strong technical background to guide the team’s technical roadmap and vision.
